Troubleshooting Procedures
MECHANICAL ERROR

The card feeder feeds two cards
completely onto the feeder.
The card feeder partially feeds the
second card, thereby blocking flipper
operation.
The card feeder does not feed a card.
This may be because two cards are
stuck together or a leading edge
is damaged.
The card feeder does not feed a card;
and it is not due to stuck-together
cards, damaged cards, or cards that
were not fanned.
Calibrate the Card Load Sensor via
the !SAP 1 command. For command
implementation, refer to Tools on
page 49.
The card thickness adjustment
(arrow below) should be closed one
or two clicks, one click at a time.
Remove the card, fan the card stack,
and return the cards to the
card feeder.
The card thickness adjustment
(arrow below) should be opened one
or two clicks, one click at a time.
OUT OF CARDS Check for cards in the card feeder.
Card did not feed.
If no cards present, load cards; then
press the Panel Button for 1 second.
The printing job will restart.
1. Verify that the card thickness
adjustment (arrow below) is set to
the thickness of the cards being used.
2. Fan the card stack to ensure that
cards are not stuck together.
3. Remove the first card in the stack,
and check if the edge is damaged;
discard if it is.
4. Open the card thickness
adjustment one or two detent clicks.
