AC Power Considerations

Power Line Cord

Depending on how the XiIII-Series printer was

ordered, a power line cord may or may not be

included.

If a power line cord is not supplied, you will need

to obtain one with the following specifications.

Refer to Figure 1.

1. The overall length must be less than 3.8 meters

(12.5 ft.).

2. It must be rated for at least 5A, 250V.

3. The chassis ground (EARTH) MUST be con-

nected to assure safety and reduce electromag-

netic interference. The ground connection is

handled by the third wire (EARTH) in the

power line cord.

4. The AC power plug and IEC 320 connector

must bear the certification mark of at least one

of the known international safety organizations

shown in Figure 2.
