Amanualcalibrationshouldbeperformedwheneveryouareusing

pre-printedlabels(orlabelbacking)oriftheprinterwillnotcorrectlyauto

calibrate.

1. Turnontheprinterpower.

2. Removeapproximately6”(152mm)oflabelsfromasectionof

backingmaterial.Loadthemediasothatonlythebackingmaterialis

threadedthroughtheprinterandundertheprinthead.

3. UsetheMediaTracking(^MN)commandtoselecttheappropriate

mediatype(refertotheZPLIIProgrammingGuide).

4. PressandholdthefeedbuttonuntilthegreenstatusLEDflashesonce,

thentwice.Releasethefeedbutton.

5. Theprinterwillsetthemediasensorforthelabelbackingbeingused.

Afteritisdonemakingthisadjustment,therollwillautomaticallyfeed

untilalabelispositionedattheprinthead.

6. Aprofileofthemediasensorsettings(similartotheexamplein

Figure32)willprint.Uponcompletion,theprinterwillsavethenew

settingsinmemoryandtheprinterisreadyfornormaloperation.

7. Pressthefeedbutton.Oneentireblanklabelshouldfeed.Ifthisdoes

nothappen,trydefaulting(refertothefour-flashsequencein“Feed

ButtonModes”onpage37)andrecalibratingtheprinter.

NOTE: Performingamanualcalibrationdisablestheauto

calibrationfunction.Toreturntoautocalibration,defaultthe

printer(seethefour-flashsequencein“FeedButtonModes”on

page37).
